Head of Risk & Compliance

As the Head of Risk & Compliance at VITO, you will lead in a dynamic and innovative environment where sustainability and innovation are at the heart of operations. In this role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive risk management and compliance program. With your leadership and expertise, you will strengthen the organization's approach to risk, ensuring integrity, reliability, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, with a strong focus and making use of the COSO ERM framework and relevant ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and maintain risk management and compliance programs, using the COSO ERM framework and ISO standards.
• Identify and manage risks that affect the organization, providing guidance for controls and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Directly and indirectly manage a small team of professionals involved in risk management and compliance activities.
• Regularly review and update risk policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory expectations.
• Produce and present risk and compliance reports to senior leadership, including metrics on key risk indicators (KRIs), compliance audit findings, and status of risk mitigation efforts.
• Conduct training and workshops to increase awareness of risks, compliance, ISO standards, and the COSO ERM framework within the organization.
• Advise on strategic decisions related to risks, compliance, and ISO requirements.
• Report regularly to the CEO/CFO, and Audit Committee and Board on compliance matters, regulatory updates, and internal audits

• Master’s degree in business administration, finance or law, and an additional qualification in risk management.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in risk management and compliance, preferably using the COSO ERM framework and ISO standards.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to clearly present complex risk and compliance issues to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or ISO as well as financial audit are a plus.
• This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
