We are offering the added value of remote sensing, a key enabler in our space economy. From user needs to the relevant technology and end-to-end EO support, from drones over aeroplane to satellite data, we provide insights for diverse applications in domains such as agriculture, vegetation, water & coast, climate, security and infrastructure.

To support our growth, we are strengthening our team with an R&D Professional who has an interest in image analytics, big data analysis, and machine learning techniques in the context of agricultural and/or vegetation applications. You will be working in a dynamic environment, balancing between R&D, prototyping and operational environments. You have a curious & service/client oriented mindset, are tech-savvy and are able to connect well with people with different backgrounds.

Job requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in (computer) science, (bio-) engineering, … .
  • Proven expertise in one or more of the following domains is definitely an asset, but we strongly value the willingness to learn:
    • Image processing, Data Science, machine/deep learning techniques
    • Remote Sensing systems for agriculture and/or land cover applications…
    • Environmental/Spatial Modelling techniques
    • Satellite and/or drone based EO datasets of various sensors
    • Programming expertise in higher languages like Python/R/ JAVA… and scripts to automate EO/GIS processes.
  • Experience in the agricultural domain would be considered an asset.
  • You have an open mind, have a natural interest in state-of-the-art technology and strive to find an efficient solution for challenges that you encounter.
  • You work easily in a team and are equally capable of working independently.
  • Given the international nature of this position, good knowledge of English is essential.
